About:  Matthew came to Justine in late 2006 as an unbroken 3 year old.  After taking things fairly slowly to start with, they enjoyed a fantastic season together in 2007, contesting several 4 year old hunter classes.  After spending the winter of 2007 learning to jump, Matthew came out in 2008 to compete in his first year of Novice Working Hunters and Open Middleweight classes.  The highlight of Matthews career to date was finishing 3rd in a very strong Middleweight Final at Horse of The Year Show 2009.  This was a huge achievement, not just for Matthew but for the team who have worked so hard to produce him, especially as this was his first visit to HOYS!  He will now continue to contest the Open classes in both ridden and working hunters - this stunning young horse has a very exciting future ahead of him!
